Jang Dong-min“As long as I'm alive, I'm not retiring from survival shows”
At a glance
- He shut down the retirement talk himself: "As long as I'm alive, there's no retiring from survival shows."
- He said this was the season he was targeted the most, so it should show "the strongest Jang Dong-min."
- Oh Hyun-min told fans to look forward to the Jang-Oh Alliance, but added that "there may be no alliance that lasts forever."
He never retired
He said that whenever he shows up on another program, people ask why he's back if he retired, and he has never actually said that. Stopping feels like his life would be over, so if there's a seat, he takes the challenge.
He thought hard about joining, but after several talks with PD Jung Jong-yeon he decided to treat it as a big party and have fun.
The more they target him, the stronger he gets
He expected to be a target from the start and was under a lot of stress before filming. If he were another player, he said, he would also have wanted Jang gone on day one, but people misjudged one thing: "the more he's targeted, the stronger Jang Dong-min gets."
When the whole cast first gathered, he thought he wouldn't survive unless he burned everything he had. Since the show airs worldwide, he went in wanting the whole world to know who he is.
The Jang-Oh Alliance
Oh Hyun-min said they made plenty of fun moments again. In survival games there may be no alliance that lasts forever, he said, and the show is more fun if you watch with that in mind.
He has always thought Jang is the best survival player, yet this time he saw enough great moments to feel Jang still had room to grow. They'll show what they can do together and on their own.
